NEW POLL: 76% of Latino Voters Support Prop. 15

Latinos comprise an estimated 25% of likely California voters, and such overwhelming support bodes well for Prop. 15’s chances in November

Today, the Latino Community Foundation announced the results of a new poll which found that 76% of Latino voters support Prop. 15. This poll that was conducted by Latino Decisions, which surveyed 1,202 registered Latino voters between August 7th and 16th, reinforce findings from a similar poll conducted in March.

Latinos account for an estimated 25% of likely voters in California, and such support within the community is a promising sign for Prop. 15’s path to victory in November.

Moreover, 86% of Latino voters support “closing taxpayer loopholes to ensure millionaires and large corporations pay their fair share.” The results can be seen here:

Prop. 15 is a November ballot measure that will close corporate property tax loopholes to reclaim nearly $12 billion every year for essential workers, local services, and schools – all while protecting homeowners and renters, small businesses, and agriculture. Moreover, the measure implements a new tax cut for small businesses. According to an analysis of Prop. 15, only the top 10% of commercial and industrial properties would generate 92% of the revenue
